Get to Know the Artist
Rachel Tremblay-Côté, an ally of the queer scene, specializes in creating giant puppets within her interdisciplinary practice alongside Marie-Soleil Choquette and Sarah Losier. Since co-founding the collective "They are a Smelt" in 2019, she designs costumes and stage materials that blend puppetry, visual arts, and cinema. After earning her Bachelor's in Visual and Media Arts from UQAM in 2015, Rachel co-founded the nonprofit Espace Sud-Est, where she gained experience in event management and exhibition curation through the GHAM & DAFE project.

Rachel Tremblay-Côté, alliée et partipante de la scène queer, se spécialise dans la création de marionnettes géantes au sein de sa pratique interdisciplinaire avec Marie-Soleil Choquette et Sarah Losier. Depuis la cofondation du collectif "Iel est un Éperlan" en 2019, elle conçoit des costumes et des matériaux scéniques qui mêlent marionnette, arts visuels et cinéma. Après avoir obtenu son Baccalauréat en Arts visuels et médiatiques à l'UQAM en 2015, Rachel a cofondé l'organisme sans but lucratif Espace Sud-Est, où elle a acquis de l'expérience en gestion d'événements et en commissariat d'exposition à travers le projet GHAM & DAFE.

I got the white soles version in men’s size 10. This is one of my favorite styles they have for low tops. Usually I find I can’t wear low tops all day or I will get discomfort but these blew me away, it’s super comfortable and fits true to size. And the material seems very high quality, the graphic is really detailed and looks even better in person. The color isn’t washed out like you typically find with graphic prints on shoes so I’m really happy about that!
